Pros
- CBD work area - Friendly co- workers - Can learn a lots cuz most things/job scopes are all depends on yourself to adapt.
Cons
- Micromanagement throughout. Daily morning meeting with China side for all departments, summary what you have done yesterday and what's work plan today. Like kindergarten. Everything need to report to China side for approval. - Chinese culture; operates as agency. Very realistic and data based top management . All teams have hard KPIs to achieve. Everyday need to report the total number of employees in office. - Felt like being spied everyday online. If there's small human error in report, China side will spot right away and give alert to make correction. Person/task will be further talked during meeting and asked for reflection. No one can make mistake here, big or small. High pressure working environment. - Result-oriented, all about KPI. Early termination can happened if set KPIs is not met. Not much of appreciation, only give and take. - Lots of meeting ; daily morning/weekly/monthly/quarterly. Weekly meeting and monthly can go up to 1 hour to 3 hours for one session, sometimes extend after working hour. - Office politics all over Relationship between some of the departments may not be very close. Responsibility push around to escape from mistake. - Strict attendance monitor system (not even 1 min) Weekly report on late joiners in company group chat for China side review - detailed numbers as per department. - High turnover rate. New joiner(s) every week. There was a few left within a week or less than a month.
