There is no HR team. Which honestly is the biggest red flag of them all, there used to be an HR but they were fired so take that information how you will. Pay is pennies compared to the amount of work you do, it's $17 an hour and unfortunately due to the hours you can’t get a side gig unless you want to give up your life. Due to high turnover all campuses are often understaffed you will have a caseload of 7 - 11 (or 13) students. You have 8 hours to see each one and write notes on each session all in the work day. Higher ups can’t manage the team well or at all. There is no support and all complaints/grievances fall on deaf ears and never get addressed (if they do it's a mere “oh sorry to hear you felt like that”. ) Things don’t change after bringing up complaints and there is no follow up on plans to change anything. Nothing has been done about addressing the high turn over either. Upper management is so disconnected from the actual work they do not know how long sessions are, nor how bad the actual work environment can be. They expect you to use a tablet for 8 hours without charging it and run a group session of two students for over an hour when the group material only goes up to 30 minutes. Upper management also accepts students into the program that staff is not properly trained to work with. No office space, told to blend in with the students (because I don’t think College Connect has permission to be on any of the campuses they service) forced to carry all your supplies with you daily and the phones are all tracked. When brought up complaints about work space was told to “sit on the floor” in a public unclean space by upper management. It's a number’s game, College connect gets paid by attendance so they just want numbers. Even if they don’t say it or deny it, it is really obvious they (upper management) are greedy and want numbers considering all the designers they wear.
