Pros

I still believe in our product.

Cons

I've been with Collibra for a while, and man, have things changed. It used to be the kind of place you'd brag about working at - great vibes, great people, and the freedom to work in a way that suited you. But that's all in the rearview mirror now. First off, the whole "back to the office" thing has turned into a bit of a mess. Doesn't matter if working from home was your jam and worked out fine - if you live in certain areas, you're expected to commute back, no ifs or buts. And remember when our CEO was all "I'll never force you come back to the office if you don't want to"? Yeah, so much for that. Trying to get an exception has become a joke; it seems like management just enjoys saying "no" for the heck of it. Then there's our new SVP People, trying so hard to make a splash but honestly, just causing the ship to sink. It feels like they care more about their personal brand than, you know, actual people. The atmosphere's turned toxic - it's like we're just numbers on a spreadsheet now, not humans. Oh, and about rewards for hard work? Forget about it. No raises, bonuses are shrinking, and guess how they broke the news? The SVP People, who is so eager to go back to the office, decided to work from home to drop that bombshell. Talk about avoiding the fallout. If this doesn’t show the inexperience, I don’t know what is. Leadership roles seem to be handed out like candy at a parade, but not based on what you know or how hard you've worked. It's all about who you know now, which just isn't right. And let's talk about the layoffs. Round after round, it's been nothing short of a nightmare. The only "round" that hasn't happened but absolutely should, is at the top. Seems like those making the questionable calls are the only ones safe from the chopping block. Remember when "open, direct, and kind" or "one Collibra" were things we actually lived by? Feels like ages ago. Now, those values seem like they're just empty words, with none of the action to back them up. It's a bummer to say, but the company we loved is pretty much gone. It's turned into just another company that's lost sight of what made it special. Keeping my fingers crossed that things will get better before the last of the great team members decide to leave.

Pros

Compensation is great, but not worth it for everything else that isn't

Cons

-Management is terrible. There is an incredibly toxic culture within the Sydney team (Can't speak for elsewhere but I imagine it's similar). Employees are bullied and not enabled to effectively perform within their roles. There is a point the finger and blame game that happens and I've honestly never worked in an environment where I felt as demotivated by the people around me -Zero team camaraderie. If you're looking to join a fun team, this isn't it. People are slogging through each day, complaining, and gritting a smile through their teeth. -Customers have no idea how to use the product, and nor do the employees -The training and enablement is basically nonexistent -Employees often find themselves asking: "Does this product even work?" - And quite honestly, I don't think it does -Upward mobility? Good luck...

Thank you for your feedback. While I can't speak to individual situations, our internal surveys show that the majority of our team members feel well-connected and supported by one another and their managers. While Collibra may not have been a fit for you, we wish you luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

Good product, good name in the market

Cons

Worst experience of my life. Regional management has no clue how to run a team resulting in 4 employees resigning just in 2022 after 3 resigned in 2021. This is out of a total of 15 employees. Absolute nightmare of a place with constant threats, bullying and harassment. Multiple HR complaints against regional management yet top level Collibra leadership gives no heed. Spineless top tier leadership allowing local management to run a butchery in the region

This is a difficult review to read, but I appreciate you coming forward to share. We in no way, shape, or form tolerate any sort of bullying, threats, or harassment. Unfortunately, it seems like you’ve already left the company, but I would be grateful if you’d be willing to have a conversation with me directly about your experience. I’d like to understand where this went wrong and how we can improve, as we are continuing to invest and grow in this region. You can reach me at jarlath.doherty@collibra.com.
