I wish I had more positive things to say
Pros
There are some really great people who work at Columbus State who work really hard and care about each other and students. The work-life balance is wonderful.
Cons
It's disturbing how outdated the college is. You would think a college is a place where new ideas, fresh perspectives, diversity, and healthy debates are the norm, but that isn't the case on the administrative side of the institution. Many great ideas for advancing the college have been shut down or paused and lost in the practice of consensus management and never-ending vetting. People are afraid to make decisions, so they don't. OSU is referenced in too many meetings, keeping CS from becoming a truly unique college. Executives are out of touch with employees, and they don't communicate or ask for feedback. Leaders need to walk the talk of being in a mission driven institution.
