Pros
Commerce Kitchen is a great place to make money. The front of house staff works as a family unit. The location is good being in downtown Huntsville so the clientele is great compared to working at a corporate restaurant.
Cons
Most people in the foh and boh don’t last long after they have to deal with the head chef David Gatica. He is the chef, but treats the restaurant like he owns it. He runs the foh, boh and the managers. He makes absurd rules just because he can like you can’t swap sides on any entrees even though the customers are paying $25-40 per plate. He is a narcissist and he is never wrong. He yells and curses the servers out daily for minuscule things that he isn’t involved with. He has a power complex and is a bully. It doesn’t matter if you notify management or the owners because they will pick his side. He involves himself in things that don’t relate to him like how the servers deal with customers even though he has never served a day in his life. He is a racist, misogynist and homophobic. Good luck working there if you aren’t a Mexican man. You’ll get harassed.
