Pros

I was assigned to a location without much oversite. If you do what is required, they will leave you alone.

Cons

Some of the contracts were a little sparse on benefits - doublecheck before you apply

Pros

Regular income and decent working conditions

Cons

Top heavy management. No medical benefits offered in Winnipeg. Recently management asked for overtime to be stopped for it's guards but yet hired new management staff and high paid consultants

Pros

-Pay rates are fair and competitive in the industry. -Uniform is free -The best contracts and clients the industry can offer.

Cons

-Benefits package only covers 10% -Management is completely out of touch with employees, no communication. -Favoritism for Veterans and Ex law enforcement, regardless of how much dedication, effort and hard work you put into your work. you will be pushed out if the aforementioned want your position. -Drastic pay and hour changes from one posting to another. -Mandatory tracking device / software, that in my option will cause further divide in management and employee communication.

Pros

- Potential to be trained in new skills (if you are lucky) - Potential for travel (occasionally millage is paid) -Opportunity to be a self starter in a variety of situations - Option to have a flexible schedule - Uniforms (based on stock) and boot gift card provided during training - Options to apply to work in a variety of departments at the same time - Medical Benefits (partially paid)

Cons

-Most positions/contracts are inconsistent/short-term and end without much notice - Millage pay rates are normally under 50 cents/km - Avg pay rates are under $17/hr - Staffing decisions are made only by District Manager who has acknowledged that he decides based on his perception of the needs of the employees. - Multiple incidents of not being given a shift for well over a month. - Require employees to either sign-in for each shift via phone call or download an app that GPS tracks location, but do not provide compensation for the data required to run the app or the phone calls. - Management tends to require one to become the "squeaky wheel" before they will provide assistance. - Departments do not tend to work together, and occasionally actively try to undermine each others staffing for their own benefit. - No pensions/retirement savings benefits - Previous experience and education are completely ignored. - Seniority does not exist. - Nepotism is rampant.
