      Stay away from IS; Informatics OK

      Pros

      There is lots of opportunity to learn new things, technologies, etc.

      Cons

      If you like to max out on your PTO and work 50+ hours a week, this place is for you. Strict 8-5. No flexibility. Difficult to use your PTO. Focus is on quantity of hours not quality of work. Manager treats you like you are a child. If you leave for a better opportunity they bad mouth you.

      Pros

      Some of my coworkers are great people. Other than that there isn’t much pros working here. I guess if you live in Chula Vista the commute is great?

      Cons

      This company is very disorganized. Priorities change from one day to the next. What is high priority on a Monday will be forgotten and pushed to the back burner on Tuesday. Not to mention the higher ups love to flex their power on their employees. Also there is major nepotism in this company and if you somehow are tied with one of the execs you pretty much get a pass to do whatever you want. If you don’t believe me look at the article in the LA times about this place.

      Individual contributor staff are great. If you like food, they provide a lot of meals. Stability.

      Cons

      No flexibility. Hours seem to be set on stone. Leadership is quantity over quality.
