sense of family amongst coworkers, good in-store discount, welcoming environment, product training/samples

Cons

Negative politics in management levels (nepotism). Favorites were promoted while hard workers remained peons. Incompetent management kept on and protected while having major negative effects on staff and overall environment. Very poor communication (very rare staff meetings and reviews). Major layoff of part timers to save money.

Coworkers are great, work is normal grocery biz.

Cons

Hard to get a pay increase. A lot of uncomfortable upper/senior management folks. Not sure they are even trained in management or they just got nepo'd into the role? The company expects you to go above an beyond for min wage (never stop smiling). Sorry, but doing the job and getting it done is enough.

Relaxed environment, decent discount and occasional free food.

Cons

There was a lot of nepotism involved. Management valued communication and attitude more than work ethic. Lack of trust between staff and manager(s) due to constant monitoring of staff members. Little to no room for growth. Minimal wage increases.
