Pros

- Positive and collaborative culture with many talented colleagues. - Free drinks on every Friday

Cons

- Outdated technology continually building new features in old frameworks - Minimal employee benefits. - Limited opportunities for professional growth. - Management prioritizes output and new features over improving existing ones. - Inadequate employee support. - Presence of office politics, including favoritism. - Frequent team restructuring within short time frames. - High employee turnover rate. - Insufficient efforts to retain talent. - Limited support for new hires, not well-suited for junior employees or recent graduates, as the expectation to quickly adapt is high, with the risk of termination if not met. - Compensation significantly below market standards, with raises distributed based on popularity rather than performance. - High levels of technical debt. - Micromanagement from individuals outside of direct management roles. - Teams often under-resourced due to turnover and selective hiring practices (talent snobbery). - Questionable sales practices, including pressuring schools to purchase low-quality products. - Frequent rushed projects that provide minimal value. - Lack of budget for team building or morale initiatives, often leaving employees to cover costs out of pocket. - Tendency to over-promise and under-deliver on projects. - Shady practices to bypass fair work regulations related to dismissals. - Limited office space, resulting in a crowded and chaotic environment despite a convenient location. - Shortage of skilled staff across departments, with senior employees often moved into leadership roles prematurely. - Preference for quick fixes rather than sustainable solutions. - Budget frequently allocated to product development rather than employee well-being, contributing to high turnover. - Lack of support for employees interested in remote work arrangements. - Potential non-compliance with GDPR despite operating in the EU. - Offshoring some support functions to Manila to reduce local hiring costs. - Questionable manipulation of ratings on platforms like Google Play Store and Apple App Store. - Despite working late to meet strict deadlines and taking time off as compensation, non-lead employees are questioned with, "What if the team needs you?"—implying undue responsibility beyond their role. - With the lack of space, there are supposed 3 different "entities" (Compass, Griddle and M.S.P) working under the same location, causing the noise levels in the office to be highly distracting - Turnover of talented and experience employees with no projected time frame to replace them ( ~1-2 employees leaving a week)

Pros

nothing at all. It was a horrible culture and place to work.

Cons

- hire young and cheap - work people overtime without paying them - no training - Treat their staff like rubbish - ignore sexual harrassment claims - no hr - let harrassers continue to work and blame the victims - owners flaunt their wealth and pay staff very little - finance department is rude - they make you to have a medical certificate for simple colds and sick days instead of just believing you are sick - no trust - promote people who are not capable - Make people do jobs beyond their descriptions and then don't pay them - lie about when they will do performance reviews and push them out and out so they don't have to pay people what they are worth - Lie to customers about what they are building - Site is always down and they constantly put band aids on things instead of fixing them properly - use free license software instead of paying cause they are to cheap - ya have a go at you if you're late, but make you stay back all the time for free - make false promises to customers and don't care about them at all - lie about what they offer staff and hire IBLs from universities before they realise what a bad workplace looks like, then exploits them - pick favourites and exploit people they don't like

Cons

👎 No consideration for employee experience in their field of work 👎 No transparent technical communication with external clients about outages and issues 👎 No culture whatsoever 👎 No attempt to ensure employees are comfortable 👎 No attempt to pay for the software or technologies the business uses 👎 No flexible working allowances whatsoever 👎 No company provided snacks, first-aid supplies or stationery 👎 An office that is literally falling apart
