      Co workers are dedicated and talented. Remote

      Cons

      Senior leadership is dishonest and all work is going offshore. The company went public and that may have pleased RR -congrats! However, it keeps getting worse for employees. They do not care and all point the finger at each other and just flat out lie to employees and agents. The culture is terrible and most of my coworkers want to leave so badly but cannot find another job in this current economy. The best people keep leaving, cannot wait for my turn!

      Great for Great Realtors, Terrible for Great Staff Members

      Pros

      If you are a realtor that is already super successful and basically independent you will have a great time here at Compass. If you feel encumbered by your brokerage, then you will like Compass's completely hands off approach. Please note- Compass does not care about you or even if what you are doing is legal. As long as you can make your quota - you are good.

      Cons

      If you are a staff member who wants to keep their head down and just provide good service - good luck. The upper management will use you like toilet paper. The staff was stretched thin even before covid, and now with the most recent round of layoffs it's even worse. During the first round of layoffs in 2020, they laid off the people with the most severance accrued. This indicates that they knew all along that more mass layoffs were coming, and they didn't want those employees to be paid more. It's been nothing but layoffs since.

      Run if you have just been bought out by compass

      at first you get paid health insurance

      Cons

      when compass buys your independent brokerage- and you are an employee of said bought out brokerage-run- because you will be terminated. they bought the most successful brokerage on Cape Cod- and have subseqently totally run it into the ground. You will lose your job. Just get out now while you can.
