As a current employee, I find many of the reviews here quite difficult to read. While there are elements of truth in some of the feedback, a significant amount of what’s been written feels rooted in opinion rather than fact, particularly when it comes to commentary around leadership.
To provide some context, Conexiant is the result of six businesses acquired between 2022 and 2023 and brought together under one umbrella. That level of integration is no small undertaking. The Executive Leadership Team is a blend of legacy leaders and new hires, and in my experience, they are a group of highly capable, driven, and genuinely caring individuals. Bringing together even two organisations can be complex—integrating six, across regions and functions, is a huge challenge. The team has done an exceptional job of moving at pace, building structure, creating efficiencies, and setting a clear strategic direction.
At the centre of this is Charlie Lee, our CEO, who brings a high level of credibility, clarity, and commercial acumen to the business. He is a visible and engaged leader, with a clear vision for where the company is heading, and a pragmatic approach to how we get there. Importantly, he empowers those around him, builds strong leadership capability within the team, and fosters a culture of accountability and progress. That credibility and direction filters through the wider leadership team and plays a significant role in the momentum the business has built.
That’s not to say it has been easy. It hasn’t. There have absolutely been challenges along the way. There have been difficult decisions, including redundancies, which are never taken lightly. Unfortunately, this is often an unavoidable reality when consolidating multiple businesses into a single, more streamlined organisation. It’s been a period of significant change, and like any transformation of this scale, there have been moments where things could have been handled differently.
I joined the business through the UK acquisition and was previously the commercial lead for the European arm. In January 2026, I was given the opportunity to step into a Chief of Staff role and join the Executive Leadership Team for the global business. Since then, I’ve had direct visibility into the work being done at that level, and it has only reinforced my perspective. This is one of the most intelligent, focused, hardworking, and people-conscious leadership teams I have worked with. They are deeply invested in the success of the business and the people within it, and they are actively driving meaningful progress.
There have also been claims made in other reviews around a lack of diversity or even misogynistic behaviour. From my personal experience, I find these claims to be completely unfounded. I am a female member of the Executive Leadership Team, and 60% of the ELT is female. The environment I’ve experienced is inclusive, respectful, and supportive, with strong representation and equal voice at the leadership level.
It’s important to acknowledge that no organisation undergoing this level of transformation will get everything right. There have been missteps, and there has been change that some individuals have understandably found difficult. However, it’s equally important to recognise the significant progress that has been made in a relatively short space of time. That progress is a direct result of strong leadership, clear direction, and a collective commitment to building something better.
If you’re a candidate considering a role here, I would encourage you not to be discouraged solely by some of the more negative reviews. Like any workplace, there are challenges, but there is also real opportunity, strong leadership, and a clear ambition for the future. It’s a business that is evolving quickly, and for the right person, that can be an incredibly rewarding environment to be part of.
