You will be micromanaged to death. Even though you can work remotely you will be given a desktop and a router. Now you are basically chained to your desk all day long. This is the only company I have ever worked for that did not provide a laptop. Additionally, they will install software on your computer to monitor your activity, not like you will ever have a minute to NOT do something. This is a small shop and everyone is just expected to do whatever they have to do no matter when that occurs. Management has no problem calling you all hours when an issue arises. You will work all night and still be expected to work the next day. This is in addition to your regular work day. Weekends, holidays, what are those? Clients are abusive and have no problem berating you for not working fast enough. The benefits are expensive and not very good, but what can you expect from a small company? You are lucky to get anything at all. Compensation was fairly competitive but nothing to write out. Overall, you will be expected to work no matter what to keep unreasonable client expectations upheld. This leads to quick burnout and don't expect any compensation or comp time for after-hours work. None will be offered. Documentation is either non-existent or difficult to find. Some of it is outdated, no longer relevant or just inaccurate. There is very little room for growth and you can expect to be stuck in the same position for a very long time.
