I had high hopes joining Cornilleau, given its reputation in the sports equipment industry. Unfortunately, the internal culture does not reflect the innovation and energy the brand portrays publicly. Cons: Toxic management style: Leadership is not only unsupportive but at times openly negative and dismissive toward employees. Constructive input is often met with hostility, and some managers resort to degrading comments that create a demoralizing work environment. Lack of respect and recognition: Hard work and dedication go unnoticed, while mistakes—real or perceived—are publicly called out in ways that feel personal rather than professional. No psychological safety: Employees are afraid to speak up or raise concerns due to fear of retaliation or being labeled as “difficult.” Stifling culture: Initiative and creativity are discouraged. Conformity is valued over contribution. No clear path for growth: Career progression feels arbitrary, with favoritism playing a larger role than performance or potential.
