Interesting LA PR Experience

Pros

Lots of hands on experience and unique situations. Opportunity to take on responsibility if you're up for it. Great location. Ray is ultimately a great guy.

Cons

Most of the reviews are correct that after all this time there are still not systems set up. He puts it on the employees to figure on out but is rarely happy with the results. He tends to hire young employees and things tend to turn into a father/child relationship with regular scoldings. I truly believe he wants the best for his clients and employees, but it's a small office and things get tense so the turnover is understandable.

Pros

Costa Communications gives you the opportunity to gain experience working in the entertainment industry. The company is small but it gives you the chance to be more hands on with big projects. I had no experience working in PR before I took this job and I have learned so much from Ray. You get to work big events, conferences, festivals and attend screenings of blockbuster movies before they are released to the public. If you show willingness to learn and to be involved, you will get more opportunities.

Cons

There are lots of events sometimes after work which can be tiring on top of a full schedule but also exciting. Ray is very detail oriented but it helps you in the long run.
