Pros

Their flexible working environment has always been a huge plus point for me, and despite that, the coworkers are very collaborative. With Cove being a multinational company, I am able to work with people with different backgrounds and languages. As for me personally, working here has been a great starting point for my career since I was able to grow from an Intern, to Junior Creative Designer and now as a Creative Designer.

Cons

Since Cove has established themselves in 4 different countries, the creative team’s workload (5 people) can get a little overwhelming and beyond out bandwidth at times. There are a lot of urgent tasks, from different countries so we need to manage our time and negotiate with them often.

Pros

- Friendly startup vibes/young team - Only few layers between staff and Directors - Solid product base with great potential - Flexible working arrangements

Cons

- The company is 6 years old and no proper performance review system or structured career ladder is in place, just a form for formality. You have to basically be very active in proving your performance and asking for promotions/increments or else you’re at the mercy of your direct leader’s generosity - Overarching direction and strategy from the founders are still way too volatile and dynamic for a company this size/age - No proper organizational planning: some teams are drowning with work to the point of constant overtimes, others are bloated, others have too many staffs with no supervisors to the extent that the leader is overwhelmed.
