Pros

Nice spacious office in the Jackson square area , free lunch on Wednesdays, snacks, coffee, bagels on Fridays.... close to a few coffee shops

Cons

Zero opportunities for advancement. At the moment you finished the mediocre training they provide, you are stuck doing the same routine over and over and over. Is amazing how the customer success leads do not even talk, greet and say anything to their employees, while they are micromanaging you listening to your calls. ( God forbid they pick up the phone! - they never ever do so how are they good evaluators if they do not do what you do?) Hey treat their employees horribly. I have never felt more rejection ( is a sense among the whole team) at a company where the customer success team members are looked down like second class citizens because everybody else In other departments think they are so above everyone else and they have zero interest to even acknowledge you or interact with you. TERRIBLE PLACE TO WORK. ZERO ROOM FOR GROWTH. You perform the same list of calls over and over and respond to the chats like a robot. At some point, the job is so tedious that people fall asleep. If you would like to be a robot, ignored by everyone in the company including your own mediocre team lead, apply at credible, you’ll regret it and will start calling out like everybody else because they hate the job. Credible is such a terrible company that they pay two teams to basically execute the same job. Customer success, calls the customers to finish their application, you finish them for them and a person sitting behind you ( the loan operations team) receives the same application and if the customers are missing something, they do not call them, they ask you to call them again,.... hello credible? Can one person do everything at once? That way you save money in wages and stop burning cash capital! ? Unbelievable inefficient the whole operation.

We are sorry that you did not have a positive experience working with Credible. Our customer success team members are critical to our organization as they are interacting with our consumers daily. The role is to assist our consumers with questions and completing the loan application process. Our new hires are provided with 2 weeks of training prior to being assigned to calls. The level of training has increased over time and we are always looking for ways to improve the information we provide to our new hires. We offer all of our employees the opportunity to apply for open positions within the organization that they feel they are qualified for and that they can meet the requirements of the position. We have employees from our CS team who have applied and moved to other areas of Credible. We will continue to support and encourage our employees to pursue positions across Credible.

Beware: Many recent layoffs and high turnover

Pros

- Remote work (depending on team)

Cons

- Many out of the blue lay offs (most in 2022—not a good outlook for the future) - Employees are asked to take on more responsibility and more direct reports with no compensation increase and then when they ask about an increase, they're made to feel like they don't care about the company at all just money - When employees leave (even directors and high level managers) they don't fill the positions, putting even more work on those who are already over worked and doing more than they should for very little

Pros

* Coworkers were generally friendly, kind and easy to work with * Fairly good work/life balance

Cons

* Management lacks diversity. Diversity initiatives initiated in 2021 were never followed-up on and after the recent layoffs the company has even fewer people of color than before. * Frequent unexpected layoffs. In my two years at Credible there have been 3 layoffs of between 40-60 folks. The layoffs have been very unexpected -- I've been mid-conversation with folks on Slack when they've been unexpectedly let go that day. The layoffs have been largely in the engineering, operations and marketing departments. * The layoffs seem to be largely driven by poor planning and decision making on the part of management. In the case of the mortgage operations layoffs, management and in particular the partnerships team failed to secure a significant lender partner and was overly ambitious in its design/engineering goals. As a result the business failed to generate significant leads or close loans. No managers were affected by the layoffs. *The management team is a bit under qualified for their current roles. Most of the current management have been with Credible since it was a 30-50 person company. A lot of these folks lack significant experience outside of Credible and there is little to no experience in banking, consulting or tech for that matter. * The management team has no technical or engineering background. * The pay is pretty poor as compared to comparable companies

Hi there, Thanks for the note. We agree - our people are friendly! While we never want to reduce our workforce by means of layoffs, it is unfortunately a reality we have faced. Our People Ops team worked closely with those affected to assist in their transition and offered all affected staff a severance package. We are also working on driving additional efforts for continued DEI. - Credible People Operations
