Dreadful

Pros

You have the freedom of freelance work, listen to music while your on deliveries.

Cons

No set route, poor pay on a rotating pay cycle, little to no jobs come in for hours sometimes so you'll be sat waiting in your car. No career opportunities. Get hassled while you are in traffic.

Great people but needs structure

Pros

The local teams are great, really friendly and great working atmosphere. Really care about it the members they work with.

Cons

Burn out and stress, too much “tagged on” to jobs without any understanding of what’s involved so staff are overwhelmed. Central structures need an overhaul, there’s no training or induction for new starters and so much information is lost when people leave due to no succession planning. The recent restructuring and job losses was perhaps unavoidable but communication was so poor and has last the trust of staff remaining.

Wouldn’t recommend

Pros

There are incredibly talented and hardworking people at Crisis especially front line services staff and the stars I’ve awarded are for my colleagues. Pay is decent but you can get stuck in role without progression.

Cons

Awful culture. Does not value ALL staff. Very top down. Distribution of work load is very uneven. Income is falling and Crisis is unstable. Not diverse. Lack of opportunities particularly if you are in a marginalised group. Staff well-being at Crisis is awful.
