Pros

I wish I could say there was at least one

Cons

This place is toxic ruled by a dictator that sits in his villa in Portugal, barking orders over the phone. Treats his staff like animals, makes fun of them, calling them all sorts of derogatory names. Senior management run around bowing down to his every demand. The culture is beyond toxic. The staff are not happy. Any five star reviews on here. are done by the leadership team. The company doesn’t pay their bills. Head office is bombarded with calls from debt collectors. Suppliers are left unpaid and worst of all if you’re an employee and you want to leave they will hold back any money due to you and make an excuse why they are not paying you. Staff turnover is a joke. People constantly leaving out of frustration and feeling torn down. If they don’t like you, they just fire you on the spot it has nothing to do with your capabilities. It’s just about your face and whether you are subservient to every demand. There is no work life balance. It’s just work work, work work and God forbid if you ask for a day off you have to be available on the phone 24 hours a day.

Pros

None. Always boring. Always oppressive. Always closed minded.

Cons

Management teams either incapable of seeing clear issues and fixing them for the betterment of the company, or are simply hiding them / blaming less experienced people / sometimes trainees for longstanding problems (scapegoating) when travelling miles away to visit the CEO in the country somewhere... Nowhere near where the work is actually done. You never feel like you are being told the truth, or like anyone actually knows what they are meant to be doing, ergo, clear lack of direction and sense of stagnation. Progression even as a company in the industry feels incredibly flat. Lacking in innovative ideas. Needs complete overhaul from top to bottom.

Pros

Salary equal to market averages

Cons

When I worked at Crown Partnership I did not have a good experience unfortunately. Initially I was enticed by a good salary, the fact it was a well-established company and it appeared that there would be variety in the role due to the partnership element. Soon after starting there the alarm bells began to ring and I became unhappy with the treatment of myself and staff around me. Within the space of two months, 5-10 people had left the company, either through choice or simply disappeared with no explanation - one day they were there the next they were gone. I also heard stories of people from the past who had been "forced out", "got rid of" or quit suddenly, including someone who left after one shift. None of which makes you feel safe and happy in your role. The way people speak to each other (via phone, in person and over email) is ridiculously unprofessional, and this 'tough talk' behaviour is led by the owner. The company has a predominant blame culture, and managers regularly give staff a tough time in weekly 121's, causing those staff to feel they need to pass the blame to avoid the heat. The owner allowed the head office's heating system to stay broken for 2-3 months over the winter period - leading to staff working in coats and gloves at 10.5 - 15 degree temperatures - despite one of the partnership's companies being a building maintenance company. No apology email from the owner or any of the management during this time, or any reassurance that it was going to be fixed. It only was resolved after persistent chasing from multiple staff. Staff are on edge and do not feel safe in their roles - there is no feeling of job security which impacts on productivity. Unfortunately I cannot recommended working at this company, and I wish I'd read the other reviews on here before accepting the role. The long notice period is a real hindrance too (2-3 months depending on your role), and the owner is not afraid to take staff to court if they are not willing to work all of it.
