In my experience consulting, especially infosec, you can commonly find yourself in a cutthroat environment because everyone's trying to make their hours and be the most indispensable. I haven't experienced this one bit at Crypsis. Everyone is genuinely willing to help out, and I've yet to encounter anyone talking just to beat their chest or win more hours. Asking for help isn't considered a sign of weakness, it's a sign of resourcefulness. More importantly, giving help isn't seen as a waste of time, but an investment into the team overall.
Crypsis works hard to cultivate a culture of empowered employees. Regardless of title, every voice is heard. The growth of the company is impressive, not just in terms of headcount, but in terms of the services offered as well.
A lot of this is thanks to the top down culture approach that prevents toxicity. I'm impressed that even with over 100 employees, the final interview will still be with the CEO and number two in the company.
The day to day is rewarding. I'm a 100% remote employee, but I'm never feeling like I'm left out or searching for work. The quality of work delivered to clients is significantly better than what I've seen from much larger security companies. A lot of this can be attributed to the size and age of Crypsis: they can tailor services to clients instead of having a one size fits all approach.
I've waited to settle in here before writing this review so I could not write it during the honeymoon phase. Quite frankly, each day gets more interesting and each prospective project gets more intriguing.
Cons
Time tracking system is a bit cumbersome and buggy. I keep my own spreadsheet and usually track time retroactively due to it's unreliability.
