Nice for customers, miserable for employees

Pros

Nice to know you’re helping small businesses, but that’s not enough of a motivator to stay when you’re treated without respect of privacy.

Cons

Low pay, short unpaid breaks, constantly being watched and micromanaged from the cctv cameras which is a massive abuse of power, no perks or discounts, they want you to give notice if you leave but always fire people without notice, being contacted on your days off about work, always told what you need to improve on and never acknowledged for what you do well, no career progression. Everyone is unhappy and anxious because they’re being watched like zoo animals.

Pros

Lovely store, the products are so unique and makes it’s nice to see the store helping small businesses.

Cons

the owners make it a very difficult place to work. They shout over small things and can be really two-faced — nice one minute, then rude the next. It’s confusing and stressful. If you try to stand up for yourself, they don’t take it well.

Pros

Working at Curated Makers has been a delightful experience. The supportive team environment and focus on showcasing local, handmade products made every day fulfilling. It was inspiring to be part of a brand that supports independent makers and creative entrepreneurs.

Cons

One challenge I faced was the initial learning curve with the wide range of products, which required time and effort to fully understand the details and features.
