Pros

Overall, most of the colleagues were good to work with and helpful... but that’s where the help ended as management does nothing to help those new to the company.

Cons

The first 2 weeks of “boot camp” are a great insight into what to expect... which includes finding out that this is a used car dealership in disguise, a boiler room in a “decorated” shell. Unfortunately, by the time you find out the truth, you’re already too far in to remove yourself from the challenge and back away from your commitment. The “president” of the ft worth office walks around intimidating the sales people, often times singling out mostly new people when he pleased. High turnover is an issue and is accepted by management and the president of the Ft. Worth Branch.

Pros

There is great income potential

Cons

Everything else. I held back from leaving a review for quite some time to see if a cool head would prevail over leaving a poor review, but obviously my distain for this company has left a lasting impression. I’ve heard so many stories and seen first hand how management could care less for their employees. From deaths in the family to health issues, none of that matters. Even with the senior employees. The benefits are absolutely horrible, poor outdated vacation plan that they don’t seem to want you to take (big surprise!), lots of promises that don’t come to fruition and lies about good work/home balance. They expect you to come early and leave late, dock your pay for trivial reasons (mind you that employees are commission based; so you don’t do well you get a $200 something draw for the week that you have to pay back). Told to act like it’s your business to run, but treat you as an hourly employee. If you’re looking for a career at a company who respects you as much as you should respect them, look elsewhere. No wonder there’s only the one office here in Houston. I’m glad I left when I did. Before they could instill any more negativity in me. Also note that good reviews were asked for by management. That’s why they are clumped together in dates.

Thanks you for taking your time to give us feedback. As with all employee and client feedback we take comments like these very seriously. I appreciate your honesty and candor. We recognize the fact that our environment isn't for everyone. We have expectations that are very high and not everyone is capable or willing to meet them. The average tenure for our employees in Houston is over 6 years and we value all employees that are engaged, part of the team and helping us accomplish our goals. Again, its not for everyone. I thank you for your service and wish you the best in your next venture.

Pros

It was a pretty good program and system. The computer system was easy to learn and they work by scripts for the most part so it was easy to follow along. Money can be very good as they say. The people were nice who I worked with as well. Offices were nice and you get your own space (Room with a door) which I did very much enjoy.

Cons

The office I was at had a new manager and I felt as if the training once I got to the office was sub par. The training manager did a good job of explaining how everything works but it was sink or swim it seemed once you got there. Some people thrive in that environment, I was just not one of them. They pay was a little over inflated from what they stated at the interview but money is still good. Benefits are a joke so do not expect to get good health and 401K options. Work Life Balance: I had a friend who got into a very serious motorcycle accident on a Friday evening and I was at the hospital all night with his wife and 3 yr old daughter. I went and took care of their girl on Saturday morning (I was up 24 hours). I emailed my manager to let him know what was going on and I got a call saying that I should have come in anyway. This friend of mine died 2 days later to his injuries and thank God the funeral was on a Sunday or I might have had to skip it to work for fear of getting a guilt trip. THAT is when I knew what was most important to this company.

Thanks for your feedback on your experience with our company. We always read our reviews and rely on the information to help us improve. The D&M location in which you worked provides a terrific opportunity for anyone who is able to take advantage of our system and client support protocol. We are not like a car dealership and many agents find that initially there is a stiff learning curve, especially if they have worked in a traditional dealership setting in the past. Our sales system is tried and true, in fact the office in which you worked has the best closing statistics and highest customer satisfaction rating in the company! This issue with your absence and friends accident is regrettable. I have looked into it carefully and apologize if you felt burdened by our manager's actions. More accurately I feel it was a miscommunication as we were trying to cover the business leads you had taken in your absence, not get you to return to the office. In any case we try to provide a family-friendly work environment, closing at 6:00 in the evenings, working only every other Saturday, (flex schedule for Senior Agents), and taking holidays off. A productive corporate culture is forged by the success of its contributors. I hope you will find a career that fits your personal talents and needs. We wish you all the best!
