Pros

- Monthly potlucks - Occasional 50/50 draws - Free Christmas parties - The lower level employees were all genuinely nice and helpful people

Cons

- Terrible pay. Barely above minimum wage. Most people working there either still live with their parents or have spouses that make much more money. You can not afford to work there and live alone. - No room for advancement or pay increase. Yearly 'raises' were laughable and never covered the increase in cost of living. - Overtime all the time. At the very worst I worked 4 straight months of overtime every day. This is because they don't train people properly and are always understaffed. This included working on weekends. - Inconveniently placed if you don't have a car. Transit in the area is terrible. - Not enough parking spots. Even though half of the employees carpool, employees would regularly get parking tickets for parking on the street due to the tiny parking lot. - Nepotism. It's a family owned business and family members were treated much better. Unqualified and incompetent relatives had complete job security while skillful and reliable employees who were not related would get fired for ridiculous reasons. - No job security. I witnessed many people get fired for dumb reasons. If we were slow for just a week or two, people would get laid off. If the managers decided someone was talking too much they'd get fired without warning. If they could find someone who would do your job for less you'd get fired. - Double standards. Managers would regularly spend 30-40 minutes at a time chatting about their social lives but if an hourly employee tried to talk about something not related to work they would be instantly reprimanded. - Unsafe work spaces. They only started bringing the building up to code when they decided to sell the company. I regularly worked in ridiculous conditions. 40+ degrees with less then a square meter to move in. They would not even provide a fan. All sorts of dangerous equipment and chemicals with no safety standards enforced. I personally witnessed two instances of machinery catching fire because the people running it didn't know what they were doing. I also saw people using laser engravers with the safety cover open and the fail safes manually overridden, as per their manager's orders. -No fire alarm. In the event of fire we were told to run through the building yelling "FIRE FIRE FIRE" - Management regularly lied to employees about plans to make the company safer.

Pros

Great co workers.. that's about it. I have nothing else to say.

Cons

Terrible Pay No flexibility at all .. running things like a modern day sweatshop. (set times for breaks, lunches etc) Still using desktops and old computer systems in this day and age... things are so slow sometimes that impedes productivity and efficiencies. Turnover has been increasing recently with no new hires, resulting in extra work on existing employees
