Pros

Work Life Balance and friendly to female employees

Cons

Underpay compared to the industry. Less research atmosphere as expected. High turnover rate causes every entry/junior position lacks guidance from senior staff. All projects are guided by project manager on budget considerations. Business on environmental assessment and the related modelling works are too mature (or rigid). So you can see less innovation compared to this company’s past track records, and age of the staff is always young. I suspect current business only needs fresh-graduated engineers with Bachelor degrees.

Pros

Great colleagues, interesting projects to work on.

Cons

The biggest disappointment is the department management, specifically in the Environment and Marine & Coastal departments. One HoD has limited technical knowledge and is more preoccupied with office politics than actual work. The other is pretending his subordinates to do a good job.
