      Pros

      Owner is not always there.

      Cons

      The owner presented a nice picture of the company when interviewing. However, it quickly became evident that things were not as advertised. Prior work was a mess, clients were being ignored, and professionalism was out the window. I found out about half truths or things not true at all. So many people have come and gone in the past couple years it is ridiculous. If no one can work with you shouldn't that be a wake up call?

      This person was terminated because she made a large number of mistakes in 2 months. One that included an $85k error on a tax return. This error almost cost my client to write a check that he should of had to write. During review and delivery of the tax returns, the error was found and fixed. With a simple self review and spreadsheet to review all the state income and related payments, the error would have been easily caught. There were personality conflicts also and the entire DLC team felt that is was better to find someone else. DLC primary focus is on making the employee has a comfortable, professional and family environment. We had some take advantage. When employee makes material errors, calls out sick and leaves early without letting the manager know....what other outcome can there be?

      Not very many pros to this firm. But the limited size gives you the ability to learn.

      Cons

      Many cons due to the owners lack of work ethic, organization and professionalism. There is no real staff.

      Unfortunately, we had to terminate an employee due to performance in work product. I founded the firm 11 years ago and built it from zero clients to over 1400 and clients located in NC, SC, FL, TX and GA. We have two offices in Tampa, FL and Suwanee, GA. Our auditors work from home and client site so only tax ad admin go to the office. So it is not out of the ordinary to for a bookkeeper to be in the office with one or two people. Especially since they were also working from home. Our work ethic is unquestionable especially since we built the firm from nothing to over 1400 clients. We are also a family practice and we don't churn and burn employees. Our clients and employees are the most important to the owners and in the past some employees have taken advantage of the family environment and we had to part ways.

      Pros

      not much, but in interview you feel like you getting dream job

      Cons

      - No salary for the employee, even after six months of leaving a job. Two more employees worked for some time while I was there and they haven't got paid up to now. I emailed, taxed, and called, but no one answered about salary. It seems they don't have money to pay. - The owner's behavior is erratic, and there's a consistent pattern of dishonesty, especially when it comes to the previous employee. -No employee, as always, talked about 15 employees but didn't see anyone while working, -No training for work as the owner never comes to office on time -Family or friends wrote the previous review of Great Firm to Work, as while working, I never saw a Staff Accountant, Assurance, tax, or Audit employee. Only one employee was titled Marketing Manager, Front desk, or Personal assistant. - Read Google reviews before thinking about working for this firm.

      Same former employee as above. Sorry folks for this review. This was a former employee who decided to leave work in the middle of the day and not ask anyone in management. This was also during their first month of employment and it was their first position after terminated.
