Pros

Work alone, vehicle, phone, responsible for own actions, networking

Cons

Zero communication between management, this company has been around 100+ years and still goes by time cards everyday nevermind why they have payroll department. OT so much, no work life balance. No/minimal growth for trades

Good people. Managers try to communicate and keep information flowing.

Cons

Like to put family in key positions and do not treat all employees equally. What is good for one is not necessarily good for all.

Interesting place to start out with, possibility to try new things in several departments. Free icecream and coffee!

Management doesn't always listen to employees, especially about things that employees have lots of experience in.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a positive review. We are happy to know that you find DSL an interesting place to start out with and that there are lots of possibilities to try new things in several different departments. The great thing about being a small-medium size company is that it’s important to fill each position with the best person and sometimes the best person might be in the wrong seat of the bus, so moving them into the right seat is top priority and becomes a win-win situation. Yes we have free ice cream and coffee! I’m sorry to read that it seems that management doesn’t always listen to employees, especially about things that employees have lots of experience in. We will take this advice and make sure that every manager understands that each of our employees has a lot to bring to the table and their opinions are valuable and always worth listening to. We will do a better job at communicating this to everyone in the company. We have recently put an operating system in place to prioritize our customers better as well as creating realistic expectations for them. We strive to not only meet our customers’ expectations but exceed them in each and every interaction. We are only successful when our customers are successful!
