I have been working at DWS full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Two key areas - People- centric culture - Consultant support network, amazing social club which organises real cool stuff, corporate games participation, very supportive training program and oh yes! certification bonus. You are invited to the big Christmas parties with your partner. ** Great work portfolio with some of the best Australian and global companies. Our assignments range from 6 months to 2+ years or more.

    Cons

Interview process is a 3 step process. Salary review cycle in once a year ( not really keeping up with inflation) Part time consulting is missing.

I have been working at DWS full-time

    Pros

The Social Club has some interesting events

    Cons

Could get stuck doing cruddy work just so you can be made billable. Once you're in that role, they want to keep you there as long as possible

    I worked at DWS full-time

    Pros

They pay , when you work, as they hv to .

    Cons

Would suggest not to consider joining , if you hv other offer. Found them having short term mindset. Seen, even full-time, getting terminated. They do not hv lot of projects. Getting out of co can be still fine, but the reasons and shocker which someone got, really affected a lot. Someone was really affected, in many ways.

I have been working at DWS full-time

    Pros

Fantastic culture with plenty of opportunities for advancement - whether it's training, service and recognition awards, through to diverse social club activities, DWS provides an holistic approach to employment. With a family type of approach to team ethics and culture, as a remote worker I've felt welcomed and accepted with opportunities for work/home balance in equal measure. DWS has an amazing staff to work with whom are readily available for advice and assistance at any time. When placed at client sites, DWS really excels as a team - from the weekly team meetings, regular BD catch-ups all the way through to being able to work with other DWS people. The wealth of knowledge and assistance is invaluable in the fast paced BA consultant space. With customers across a broad spectrum of industries (Utilities, Banking, Health, State and Federal Government) and across Australia (from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra) they have a full client list that can meet any BA Consultant's work desire.

    Cons

As a consultant at client sites, you are at the mercy of those clients and their management. Any issues are always handled quickly and professionally and DWS always looks out for it's employees. Note: DWS could improve upskilling and training opportunities around remote work for it's staff (and only due to the current Covid-19 virus spike).

I have been working at DWS full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Chance to work on different domains as a consultant - Monthly social club events to blend with colleagues working with different clients - Training and certifications cost reimbursement

    Cons

Business membership with online training portals like udemy is required so that consultants can freely subscribe to any course.

I worked at DWS full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - great clients like NAB, Telstra, JetStar, AusPost, Translink, Crown Casinos, AusNet, AEMO - Can sustain a bench strength of 20-30 and some consultants can be on the bench for months (during good times) - Reimburse the cost and bonus for approved trainings - Consultants are expected to work 8hrs/ day; no more no less. - If the client office is shut down for longer than normal during Christmas break then DWS provides full salary to the consultants who come to DWS office during the period.

    Cons

    - Its a bodyshop company. Dont expect any work while on the bench. DWS will get you to the interview with clients. Since DWS does not have their own products; DWS doesnt run any programs within any company. - No work flexibility when on client assignment. The consultant has to be at client site 9am-5pm; wfh is not allowed normally. Consultants have to take full day leave even if one has personal work for an hour. - no assignments or trainings on bench - as DWS doesnt run any projects. - DWS is ruthless at firing people. Many long term employees from overseas companies leave their long-term stable employers only to get redundant during probation as they cannot clear a client interview. Or the client assignment is gone by the time the consultant has joined. - Firing is a norm even during good times - Dont expect salary hike. Can be $0 every year. - No professional growth. DWS is more than happy as long as you are billing (being a bodyshopper). You have to work on your own growth path.

Thank you for your review, and great to see the positives you listed. Addressing some of your points; DWS offers Consultant-lead progression and career development - we will assist and support our Consultants growth in every way possible, but never force this on anyone. We have a strong training framework to facilitate personal skills and knowledge development, and suggest staff use any bench time they have to maximise this.

I worked at DWS full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Excellent training opportunities. If there is any external training that directly benefits your role - they will reimburse the cost including books and exams. Good list of clients. Good account managers overall. Super fun Christmas parties. Monthly drinks are awesome if you're into that sort of thing.

    Cons

Some account managers stretch the truth about consultant capability, so you may find yourself in over your head . Some lead consultants are super protective of their clients so you may end up on the wrong end of a discussion. Some of the rules relating to being on the bench are just plain weird so you need to be aware of the rules.
