Pros

PTO and health benefits meet industry standards

Cons

A work environment with virtually no corporate culture where employees don’t interact with one another and day to day tasks are micromanaged down to the minute. You are a robot. A company that lacks structure and a long term vision where it matters most and presents few to no opportunities for upward advancement. You are expected to strictly adhere to decisions made by an incompetent management team. You can forget about anything resembling HR, performance reviews, career development, flexibility or basic human compassion here. The employee turnover is a direct result of this No open, direct communication. Things are unnecessarily confusing, intentionally ambiguous and always very last minute. All you need is a few minutes talking to management to see this. If you decide to move forward you’ll understand that management team is consumed by control tactics, mind games and power moves. Pettiness above all else. This trickles down to employees and creates toxicity. Office wide meetings are an opportunity for management to assert power, make passive aggressive comments and control your every move. This creates unnecessary tension and competition between departments and employees. This is corporate bureaucracy and clique mentality. The employee turnover speaks for itself. Don’t do it.

Pros

The employees are great. Healthcare is paid for. 10 days of PTO. Daily lunch.

Cons

The most selfish, insecure, hypocritical owners imaginable. They want people who aren't "clock watchers" yet, they watch your every move and are extremely inflexible no matter how much money you make them or hours you work. They make you feel bad about everything. Don't assume that the "good" we are doing for the world would manifest its way into the culture. We are treated like children. No diversity. 99% women so the CEO can feel powerful with his intimidation tactics. He also likes to make creepy comments to his favorites about their looks and outfits. No ability to work remotely even in poor weather or if you have a doctor's appointment. One person (a man) was allowed to move and work remotely, but it was a secret. Also, expect to be shamed if you aren't dressed to impress every day. The editor in cheif expects women to dress like she did when she worked in corporate decades ago. "Marketing" means paid social advertising. Nothing more. Don't expect to learn anything here, unless it's how to cope under duress. No HR. Nobody to stick up for you. Anyone who has spoke up against the founders was fired. It's a paid hostage situation every day between 8:30am - 5:30pm.

Pros

The fellow employees are amazing

Cons

Management belittles long time employees in front of entire staff. There is very little acknowledgement of employees contribution to the success of the company. No direction on career path or direction of role. No training or development
