Worst Leadership, Culture and practices I've ever seen

Pros

Surprisingly, as atrocious, incompetent, ungrateful, unethical the two so called leaders of the organization are; some of the team under them are actually quite good. All of them have been drawn to the idea of the business which was excellent 5 years ago, however the company has failed to evolve since. Most have left but there still atleast a couple of brilliant folks working in that organization.

Cons

Atrocious leadership. Decision to join Darcy was a career mistake that I could have avoided, but am better for it now. There are ongoing unethical business practices, claim to be experts in various areas of the energy business yet have one guy that actually knows that they are talking about. The rest are fresh out of college grads that are very green. Through no fault of their own they're thrust into situations they shouldn't be. Most damning statistic is that over three quarters of the hires the company made in the last two years across all levels (junior, mid career and execs) have left the company. These folks were immensely successful in their careers at every organization prior and since. Compensation (direct & indirect) not matched by the sweatshop like attitude and toxicity in leadership.

Pros

Glass Door has a minimum 15 word review for this section so I wrote this…

Cons

Yes it really is as bad as all the other reviews on GlassDoor. Aside from a mediocre paycheck there is nothing good that is associated with the company.

Pros

- The business is financially viable

Cons

Darcy Partners has several major issues that make it an impossible place to work: - Inappropriate Nepotism: There are people at the company who have been appointed to positions for which they are not qualified due to their familial relationships with upper management. Their incompetence damages the company and its product. - Turnover: Darcy does hire high achievers with great work experience and good educational backgrounds. Yet, despite being able to identify good talent, the turnover at Darcy Partners is embarrassingly high. Almost no one lasts longer than a year. People are chewed up and spit out by this company. - Lack of Accountability from Leadership: Leadership consistently skip or are late to meetings. When they show up, they are staring at their phones half the time, don't pay attention, and provide no real guidance. If guidance is given, it will often contradict something they have previously said, leaving the team confused and frustrated. They take no responsibility for this chaos and it will ultimately be blamed upon you. - Lack of Follow Through: Leadership loves to use surveys to measure the satisfaction of staff/the company. Every month they go over the results and the same pain-points exist, yet they do nothing. This is a pattern at Darcy, all talk and no action. - Lack of Emotional Intelligence: Whether it's clients bored on their phones at company events or the staff struggling with burnout, leadership does not possess the emotional intelligence to read a situation and recognize when things need to change. - Too many bosses: For a company of this size (~25 employees), they have too many wanna-be junior executives and very few boots on the ground workers who execute projects for the company. - You will be expected to be a drone: Leadership does not care what you think, independent thought is not valued, and company shortcomings are swept under the rug rather than addressed for the betterment of the product/staff. Ultimately, working at Darcy Partners is a downer. Mid and upper level management are negative, toxic, and insecure. Don't expect any training, guidance, or professional development. Run away.
