Pros

I disintegrated see many pros. The pay is competitive with others in the area, but it’s not worth the working conditions you have to endure.

Cons

I worked at Daumar for a few months, and it was by far the worst employment experience I've had in my entire life. When I started, the company didn't do any onboarding with me. No paperwork. No training. Nothing. Keep in mind, I was expected to operate big, dangerous machinery. With 0 training. OSHA needs to check this place out because there is no safety or machine training happening whatsoever. My I9 form wasn't completed within the 3-day timeframe required by Homeland Security. My direct deposit information wasn't gathered until the literal payday 2 weeks after I started. I was hourly, but there are no timeclocks, and I was not paid for actual hours worked. I've never seen anything like it. So - not only does OSHA need to check this place out - the Department of Labor might need to as well. A ton of illegal employment practices! When I say no one at Daumar speaks fluent English, I do mean NO ONE. I had to download Google Translate on my phone to communicate with my co-workers. There are a few in management that can kind of speak English a little bit, but they really never communicated with me. Also, since everyone that works here is Hispanic, I was often treated differently (given the worst schedules, given the tasks no one else wants to do, etc.) I'm never one to claim discrimination, but I was definitely discriminated against at Daumar. Speaking of my schedule, I worked the schedule that was on my offer letter for less than a week. After that, it changed frequently which prevented me from being able to plan anything outside of work. I was often singled out and given a different shift than everyone else - again because I was not Hispanic. I wish that there would have been better training and communication at Daumer. I was left job hunting in December. I was randomly fired (like many others have been) and I don't know why. There was never an official write up or warning - just fired. I've never been fired in my life. I hate to say this, but please think twice before working here if you're not Hispanic.
