HR culture is shockingly bad

Pros

Salary is 10% more than market average 11% employer contribution to pension Free lunch 35 hour week

Cons

company culture is disgracefully poor Core values are spouted at every opportunity but the company itself does not live by them. Sexism from senior management is commonplace Manager competence varies wildly. Incompetent managers are not given support to improve. Those suffering under incompetent management are expected to grin and bear it. Power struggles between territories. Office politics I could go on in detail about the extent of the poor culture....

Don't go if you are young

Pros

Free lunch and gym, nice office, great benefits.

Cons

No room for growth if you are a young professional. Your mental health depends on who your manager is. If you are lucky, you will have an experienced manager who will guide you and eventually inspire you. If you are not, you will find yourself micro-managed and eventually judged, working in an environment deprived of empathy. Each team seems to be part of a different company. The strategy is not clear and it is almost impossible to understand how decisions are made. There are people who have a power they should not have, as they are not prepared to manage other people. If not in the right team, this can be a "Burn out" culture company and lead you to diminish your ambition.
