Japanese Company? Think Again

Pros

Central Location and reasonable compensation.

Cons

This company has a very entrenched japanese company unlike other japanese companies which are more localised. Company is not open to persons of diverse personalities and have to fit into a particular mould to survive. Those who don't are told to leave. Bosses of related companies can't get along and restrict employees from mixing with other employees so be careful not to be caught in the crossfire. The company also tries to cut back on employees' benefits as and when they can.

Pros

None at all to speak of

Cons

Rivalry and politics between holding company and subsidiaries. Stiff Japanese culture where only MD can enter through the front door and staff can enter only through the back door. Employees who leave on time are admonished. HR is dishonest and does not render assistance to employees
