Pros

My first real job out of high school, I couldn't have chosen a better company to work with than DC3. Weeks before graduating, I expressed an interest in doing public relations work which resulted in the creation of my position. During my time, I wrote local artist profiles for news blog and created media campaign for expanding services and researched local creative industry and generated online promotion for multimedia arts festival. Later on, I reached out to DC3 again to do remote contracting work summarizing financial and operational goals based on four grants for year-end sponsorship reports. An open and easy office environment, I was given a very decent wage for a high school graduate, access to food in the office, and the freedom to listen to music as I work. I was not expected to take my work home with me, though I was encouraged to attend social events around the city. To this day, I use my supervisor as a reference and am proud of work that DC3 does.

Cons

If anything, the office could be a little too quiet and I would work at my desk for too long. But I see this more as a professional preference, as I prefer not to work on a 9-5 schedule or work at a desk, than a con, per se.
