1. No vision from management especially the CEO is a mess. He don't even have an idea on how to run a single medium size project. Wondering how the company is surviving. Only reason I can see is the dedicated workforce.
2. Micro management at its best. Employees will be scrutinized even if we are away for 1 hr due to any emergency. Doesn't matter how well we complete the assigned tasks
3. Excessive workload. Company is running multi million dollar projects with 2 or 3 engineers. Employees will have to get prior permission to take off during weekends.
4. No career development - The management doesn't even know the meaning of the term career development. There is a zero opportunity for career development especially if you are on a mid senior level.
5. Ambiguous roles and responsibilities - The JD in your offer letter is just hypothetical. There is no relation between the job offered and the job assigned
6. Ever changing priorities - The priorities are changing every now and then.
7. Zero planning - Planning is minimal or non realistic and is always based on some hypothetical assumptions with doesn't happen 100% of the times.
Advice to the candidates: You can join the company only if you are willing to dedicate your entore life for the company. If you have a family or if you expect a work life balance, Diagnal is definitely not a place for you.
CEO will give unrealistic promises and fancy positions to attract candidates from good companies. I was also fooled by these offers.
