Pros

co-workers work like dogs to make profits for the owner

Cons

going up the chain of command is suicide. GM buys VISA cards as employee incentives and then goes out drinking with them.

Pros

Property level management is fantastic. Flexible time off was available prior to the first full year of employment which most hotel companies do not do.

Cons

With acquiring more diverse properties, internally the corporate team appeared disorganized and lacked direction. 401K options were not available unless the director level and above. When company-wide communications did go out, Lunch and Learns, they were not presented well. Select-service properties were celebrated, however, missed the mark on full-service.

Pros

It is difficult to find the "Pros" to working for Dimension Development due to the lack of consideration for employees. Perhaps this varies from each property, or working at the Corporate Office, but Dimension’s top priority is to deliver on promises made to Ownership. So, if an ownership company is looking to maximum profits, then Dimension Development might be an option. Understandably, Dimension Development is a hospitality management company, not a hotel corporation. However, in the hospitality industry, caring for guests should be a top priority as well. The front line employees and up are what guest see and interactive with, so when it is obvious employee moral is low it should be addressed.

Cons

- Health Benefits: unaffordable for families; only PPO or HSA plan, no HMO option. - 401k: Company doesn’t match; when enrolled takes months for deductions to begin. - Vacation pay: one year waiting period for 40 hours, slow accrual rate. - Pay: not competitive to market value. - Lack of communication between properties and Corporate Office. - Hotel Discount through Dimension Develop (not franchise brand) are not easy to find out pricing, nor accessible to anyone. - Company is rapidly growing, bring in new hotels; however, it doesn’t appear the “Home Office” has enough staff to support the growth. There are other things that Dimension Development does in it's unique way other companies do not do.
