Pros

Free junk food and nice temp reviewers.

Cons

Upper management was so isolated from what was really going on that I'm surprised they are still in business. The Staff Attorneys would routinely lie to the reviewers about project lengths. They would also sow down a review if it was nearing the end, so they could milk it. Telling reviewers to "be more thorough". Upper Management routinely refused to spend money on training for it's Project Managers, which lead to nearly every PM being incompetent when it came to dealing with subordinates or they would rage at the littlest thing. Often firing reviewers for personal grievances that the PM or Staff Attorney had with the reviewer, rather then a legitimate performance issue. They intentionally under pay most of their employees to make that extra dime. I hope Apple or Amazon figure out that they are being lied to, and sue the company out of business.

Worst Doc Review Ever

Pros

It is a paying job for as long as you can stand it.

Cons

Everything else. Literally. Cannot have your phone, cannot listen to music/podcasts unless you have a non-internet, non-camera, non-bluetooth device (basically, you need a walkman). Advertised as a great place for new reviewers - false, no training provided, leaving new or newer reviewers clueless as to how doc review works. No way to escalate substantive or non-substantive questions or issues. (Micro-)managed by non-attorneys who probably don't even hold a bachelor's degree. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Pros

Flexibility. They will hire you on the spot if you have a law degree and a pulse. They pay decently for this type of work and it is laid back. They have free drinks, snacks and parking.

Cons

They will fire you without warning by email and for no apparent reason. You wonder each day who will be gone tomorrow. You are working for non-lawyers much of the time and there is a lot of depression among the staff. Emphasis is on fast, not accurate. They ignore sexual harassment and age and racial discrimination, plus they violate tax and labor laws , but it is such a stop gap job it is hardly worth the trouble to pursue legal remedies. You can't ever have your phone with you except on break in a room away from your computer.
