Pros

- Nice people at lower levels - To a degree, there's understanding that the codebase is complex and things can take time - Pay is a little above average - The occasional get-togethers are refreshing

Cons

- A brownfield project with no appetite to modernise, it's all about new features and numbers for next quarter - Your commit numbers will be counted - The company is not very large, but the approach to staff management in engineering definitely reminded me of large public company (think stack ranking) - Attrition in engineering was the highest I've seen in my entire career

Pros

There are so many reasons I love working at Displayr; it’s no surprise that we’ve been recognized as a Great Place to Work for several years. Here are some of my top reasons: - Brilliant team - Engaging challenges - Competitive salary - Monthly outings (go karts, escape rooms, scuba diving, top golf) - Lunch credits - Flexible working hours - Remote first - Growth opportunities - Training budget

Cons

There is a substantial amount of legacy code that requires attention and modernization. While this can be challenging, I view it as an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the codebase, it enhances my problem-solving skills and keeps my work engaging

Pros

Insanely chill work life balance Good pay They pay for 2 of your meals from local restaurants up to $30 per week and since you're at Pyrmont, the food in the area is good (10~ min walk form Sydney fish market btw) Managers are very accommodating to your needs They let you expense misc small office things You get your own desk so you don't need to keep setting up every day with hot desks Flexible work from home arrangements Everyone who works there is super chill Optional 4km run with other runners on the team on Tuesday Optional yoga session on Wednesday Small company so your opinion is heard (you'll probably talk to the CEO much more frequently than other companies)

Cons

Can't think of any tbh.
