Pros

The mission. If you care about the work, it can be rewarding. The benefits were largely above average (benefits only, not the hourly pay). Some coworkers in lateral positions were awesome and would go above and beyond to help out.

Cons

Terrible hours. In theory we worked three 12s but were also required to attend an astounding number of meetings and trainings, often had 1-2 days a weeks without work, and would often get work related texts or calls on days off, sometimes even in the middle of the night. HR is useless. Literally had my boss admit in writing something illegal, and HR refused to act on it for over a year. While other teams said their culture was great, our team culture was more about backstabbing, blaming-shifting, and “being cool”. I was mocked for years, including by a manager, over a health condition the HR manager revealed to the entire team. No one in management ever accepted their mistakes, simply said that whatever they had done wrong was the fault of one or another employee.

Thank you for your long-term tenure at DonorConnect. We appreciate your feedback. Acknowledging your concerns, we wish to assure you that addressing and resolving employee concerns remains a focal point for us at DonorConnect. I can confirm that because of employee feedback we have made changes to the following: * We implemented on-call set schedules. * Staff meetings are now quarterly instead of weekly. * Team meetings have been reduced to bi-weekly. * Team members have been provided instructions on how to turn off notifications to Team messages and emails on their mobile devices, as appropriate. * Continuous improvement will continue throughout the clinical areas as we have experienced a tremendous amount of growth at DonorConnect in the past few years. * We conduct periodic reviews of case activities to ensure realistic workloads and schedules. * Our commitment to employee well-being is underscored by the provision of generous paid time off benefits. We remain dedicated to our commitment to fostering a supportive life/work balance for all employees. Maintaining confidentiality is a federal regulation in both the medical field and our HR professional ethics. Safeguarding Personal Health Information (PHI) is and always has been one of our top priorities.
