Pros

The company has a lot of growth potential and a good foot in the foot in the door in the inco market and the production schedule is great.

Cons

Working with HR is a nightmare on anything. FMLA, time off, or even more serious matters, it’s a hassle. Trying to schedule time, combined with the way your treated, it’s a nightmare.

Pros

After working at Drylock Eau Claire for around 2 years now, I can give you an accurate description of my time working in the IT department for this factory. ================================================= Pros: This is a large plant with many interconnected systems, processes and devices offering a incredible variety of work. This includes server administration, network troubleshooting, factory automation, WLAN, cloud systems and lots of end devices. Along with the variety of work, the culture/people are great. The people at Drylock are truly down to earth and making connections is as easy as saying hello. Anytime there is a problem as long as they see you're trying to resolve it they're happy and I have never had a bad helpdesk experience troubleshooting with a end user. The corporate team is exceptional and very understanding, easy to work with and personable, any questions you have will be answered as long as you show you truly want to make a difference. The people you'll meet and the work you'll do are the two things that make working at Drylock Eau Claire fulfilling.

Cons

Management will expect you to take on the role of Systems Administrator for Eau Claire and will not pay you or compensate you in title or salary for that work. Onsite management does not actually know what the job entails because none of them are IT and so they will assume you are only doing helpdesk work while you manage projects for the plant. When you ask where your position could go and how you can grow they will elude to you being given a "prestigious position" far down the line but will not commit to any short term or year by year growth to keep you working and motivated without actually giving you anything. They will expect you to manage the department, making IT roadmaps for Eau Claire, managing the finances including Capex and Opex for Eau Claire IT, planning major upgrades and implementing those upgrades. This job is not made for you to grow and you will consistently be given below 3% raises every year while you continue to take on more and more responsibilities. ================================================= Overall the job is a great start for any new CVTC graduates looking to rapidly expand their knowledge and experience, but this is not a job intended to keep you long term and they will create narratives and use manipulative tactics to try and keep you working there without giving you anything in return.
