Pros

– Very easygoing shop. – There's a great work/life balance. You'll never stay late, ever! – They throw some of the best agency parties. Seriously. – There are some really great people working there. – It's possible management is too nice.

Cons

–This is not really a place for juniors creatives. The agency isn't structured for that. The senior teams get most of the good work. –The "creative directors" here need ALL the control. You are their hands creating their creative.

A Trap

Pros

Unlimited vacation, but there is favoritism regarding who can take frequent vacations. Great first job if you are just out of college. Plenty of flexibility if you are a parent.

Cons

Low salaries. Salary increases are limited. Long hours or “favoritism” are required for advancement. Don’t be fooled. They will sell you the dream job with the perks of unlimited vacation, plenty of booze, and flexible hours. If you get the right boss, you may get everything you are promised, but if you work under the wrong boss, be prepared to work long hours to prove your worth, be prepared to get vacation requests rejected because you are a dependable employee and are needed on site because there is no one to cover for you, or because you are needed to cover a coworker or boss who is on frequent vacation or out sick. If you are not a parent, flexibility is limited and questioned. “Favoritism” is a common problem.

Pros

If you're nostalgic for working in ad agencies in the 90's then this is the place for you. You'll feel right at home.

Cons

The original members of this agency have it pretty sweet. You'll be thinking this as you're invited to various meetings in their private offices that ring the open office you'll be working in. And get used to these meetings because each one of these people will be acting like your boss.
