Pros
The flexibility is second to none. You are trusted to get on with your job and not micromanaged in any way. As a working mum this has been invaluable to me. The autonomy in running your own legal files has also been truly liberating. The central theme throughout my time here is that management trust you to get on with the job. Good support network from HR to IT, always a call away and always ready to help. I have worked at DL for nearly ten years and I am proud to work here. They’ve always been supportive of me (particularly the managing director) and understand that I am both a lawyer and a mother. Of course DL expects results but as long as you’re doing your best, there is no reason why you shouldn’t attain your results against a backdrop of being supported both by your colleagues and management alike.
Cons
The City Office can be noisy particularly on busy days so it is hard to get work done but it is a minor complaint.
