Pros

Decent Pay, PTO For Jewish Holidays

Cons

BRIEF CONS: -High employee attrition rate -High rates of stress and unhappiness -Backstabbing -No training or guidance -No remote opportunities -Costly benefits IN DEPTH CONS: -Only managers can work from home despite every employee having their own personal work laptops. When asking to work from home a day or two, manager will shrug shoulders -Office is extremely outdated, almost windowless, and there aren't enough parking spaces for employees. In addition, the office is connected to the warehouse so huge trucks are always flying by a mile a minute -Little to no training or resources. Several websites the company uses have outdated and wrong information which is necessary and needed information to complete projects -Manager and employees will frequently go behind your back and hold meetings without you instead of telling you directly what they want -CEO is an Orthodox Jew so Jewish employees gain special privileges (ability to work from home whenever they want, more days off, more advancements)

Pros

Company Culture: Nice staff in general, lower tier managers want the best for their teams and give support where they can. They're really trying their best to bring this company into the 21st century. Company has undergone a lot of changes and is slowly building up. Very easy to make friends here. Staff is diverse. There are monthly events which can be hit or miss. Compensation and Benefits: Decent given the company's size. Time off benefits includes 4 personal/sick days at start. After one year, you get 10 vacation days and accrue more the longer you are with the company. Orthodox Jewish holidays included in the time off calendar leads to 3-4 day work weeks in the fall approximately every other year. You also get to leave early on Fridays, especially in the winter. Work From Home was an available option during my time there. Yearly bonuses and a small raise came every holiday season

Cons

The worst thing about this company is the CEO, Zalman. He does not live by his company's motto - "We Care Like Family." For example, he frequently storms into offices of managers and gets into screaming matches with them. The office walls are thin so it is very uncomfortable for those who have the misfortune of overhearing the noise. On another note, In the first year of the pandemic, as soon as the CEO could force employees back into office he did so. The office has never shut down since then, even when surges or new variants emerged. Hybrid schedule was briefly permitted, but only for employees with young children. Anyone else was left hung out to dry, even if they had immunocompromised individuals in their household. The CEO throws tantrums when he thinks employees are working from home too frequently. There is no clear wfh policy outlined in the handbook for managers to utilize, so it's all based on the whims and opinions of the CEO. Holidays: During certain Jewish holidays you are not permitted to bring lunch or any outside food to the office and must seek food offsite with no accommodation and no offer to cover the expense for the inconvenience. Vacation/Time Off: You cannot rollover your vacation/personal time. It used to be that if you had a small amount of unused days left, you could talk to your manager to roll them over, but that changed. If you leave the company you will not be paid out for your unused vacation days, no matter how long you have been with the company. You also cannot use more than 5 vacation days at once according to the employee handbook. Space: There is not enough parking for the amount of people in the building at the main office. If you decide to take your car off site during your lunch break you will absolutely lose your spot and have to park in the back behind the warehouse, which is technically owned by a different company. Keep in mind, this building has large freight trucks constantly going in and out of the parking lot and around the building. It's dangerous to walk out the front door and to the back. While the office hours are flexible (8:30-5, 9-5:30), if you arrive after 8:45 you won't be able to park in the company's designated parking lot.

Pros

Pay is average, includes benefits but they’re very costly, paid holidays

Cons

-Outdated, old office -Only managers can work from home -High employee turnover rates -No training or guidance -Departments don’t interact with each other at all so there are never any clear-cut goals or projects, it’s every man or woman for themselves -Little to no training or guidance, and employees will frequently go over your head / behind your back over the simplest of tasks -It’s basically a start-up culture with none of the positive perks or flexibilities a start-up offers and no one works together, you’re essentially pitted against your coworkers
