Pros

It's a big company and you can have a good future prospect if you can get close to the right people to support you.

Cons

Always fear of getting fired or redundant (ED&F has a good reputation on this), backstabbing colleagues over for promotion and unfair managers, lots of office politics..

Thank you for your review, which has been passed on to management. You are right that the company offers great career prospects and we have many people in senior positions who started at a junior level. We are sorry that your experience was not as it should have been. 'Meritocracy' is one of our stated core values and we are taking measures to ensure that everyone has a voice, is recognised for their contribution and has the opportunity to enjoy a long and fulfilling career.

Pros

None, there is nothing good about working here apart from leaving at the end of the day

Cons

Taking lunch involves queuing at lifts for 20 minutes just to get out or into the office. Sugar Traders can do what they like. Printing takes forever. IT department is just a boy's club. lots of bullying by certain leadership in IT, and bribery is rife when it comes to selecting contracts or vendors... I cant wait to get out.

Going Down Hill

Pros

Good Benefits, location and hours of operation.

Cons

Man isn't what Edward or Fredrick envision. When Man was created, they believed in their employees and they always came first. Anyone who truly knew the Founding Fathers would have kept the tradition. First came the employee, before money and this is why it was so successful all the way around years ago. Management today has little to no knowledge of the day to day business, its more of a wing it situation. Key point personnel that hold the title of management, has totally no clue of what or how to run their department. There is a major financial impact; due to employee's lack of due diligence, but this derives from lazy managers who do not get involved in the business. I’ve been with Man for the past 4 years, I have witnessed lazy managers, lazy employees, employees that don’t care and still on board, and accountability of errors not taken serious. We even have a new H.R. in place; since this happened thing’s have gotten worse. H.R. in the Miami office looks the other way and fails to truly get involve in any internal matters. You are basically on your own. No one trusts H.R., I wouldn't it and I have a million one complaints. I need my job and I can’t afford to make waves.
