Not Enough Hours

Pros

Easy to accept or deny jobs through call-portal.

Cons

Not enough hours for classified work (clerical, regular class assisting). Most of the work in the Classified category will be SPED or Crossing Guard. If working in SPED classes, the pay should increase as there is a bigger need and risk in this program.

Pros

I enjoyed the flexibility of being a substitute I enjoyed the working without supervision (aside from local school staff)

Cons

Every morning I would wake-up to a phone call seeking a substitute crossing guard or special-ed substitutes. Rarely would there be positions for in-class subs or clerical subs which is why I went through the training. I also wanted to learn more about the Restricted license but did not receive any further guidance on that.
