      You will probably earn 10% more than BIG 4

      Cons

      Founded by former Big 4 partners, the firm's initial promise has faded due to poor management. Despite claims of differing from Big 4 culture, the leadership's extensive Big 4 experience has led to similar issues, lacking oversight and processes. The firm operates under a biased leadership style, prioritizing personal preferences over diverse perspectives and work styles. Potential joiners seeking M&A experience may consider it, but experienced professionals or those with Big 4 jobs are advised to explore better options.

      Pros

      Interesting work. Partners are industry leaders. To work with partners of this calibre in B4, you would need to be a high performing SM or director minimum.

      Cons

      Less structured. If you are not a self-starter, I wouldn't recommend joining. High staff turnover as a result of the high standards of the team. Strong performers elsewhere don't necessarily do well. Best performers are those with a commercial mindset.

      Pros

      I liked how EOS tried to take a different approach than the big 4 for valuations and BD - in this respect, they have a slight differentiator in the market.

      Cons

      With ~60 years of service to KPMG between the team, it's sometimes impossible to differentiate the shared cultural DNA of the firm. This also contributes to a degree of nepotism, but if deemed a good fit, you could be rewarded. Because they hire from the same places - whilst on paper the team looks diverse, there's no real diversification of thought which makes you question what the USP is vs. Deloitte or EY. If you're thinking of joining to avoid the KPMG mentality, this might not be for you.
