My role changed a lot - often without my input or opinion. I didn't feel my role had the chance to progress, despite upper management promising numerous career opportunities.
Incredibly high turnover rate. The company is very small and with such high workloads, the constant turnover of people leaving didn't help ease the workload or pressure from upper management.
Long hours, a lot of work, and an insufficient amount of staff often leave employees feeling burnt out. Employee morale was incredibly low and it pained me to see good, hard-working journalists and writers at the risk of burnout every day. Upper management doesn't listen to our concerns about welfare and workload and I often found myself ignored.
