Outdated Office Culture

Pros

Flex time that was only recently added this past year.

Cons

Old fashioned company stuck in 1985. 80% of office employees are ready to retire within the next 5-10 years, only staying to collect retirement. HR is a JOKE at all levels, only has the best interest in protecting the company, and will simply say “everything is in your ADP login”. HR is extremely difficult to work with , and will often give you the run around , or not assist you at all. It takes 3 HR personnel and 8 email chains to answer 1 simple question. EXTREMELY outdated computer systems. Very Disorganized as well. No regard for employee well being on the plant side either. VERY questionable business practices. A company culture that is stuck in the past when it was at its prime. Not much has been updated since than , including it’s employees. Parking lot is a hazard. Has not been properly fixed or maintained for a few decades. Covid was a nightmare , and little to NO assistance was given to employees. Those writing 5 star reviews on their google reviews are internal and not real customers , attempting to cover up a bad past.

Pros

Their customers know how bad they are and they may go out of business in the near future.

Cons

Their managers are racists and treat their employees like slaves.

Pros

Most coworkers are friendly. Decent 401k compensation. Opportunity for overtime. New owner is updating the old office culture. Great chance for a career right after high school/college as a resume builder before moving on to something new.

Cons

Bad management in most departments. Coworkers can be cliquey if you're unlucky. HR almost non-existent. Insists that unions are not needed, but the employee and safety committees are a toothless joke. Most overtime is mandatory. New owner is still part of "one of the good old boys" club. Lots of racist, sexist, and homophobic/transphobic persons in the company in all positions. I have heard the "n" word more times during work hours than I can count on my 2 hands...
