Pros

Not much to say here.

Cons

Toxic Environment: - If you don't go and make tea for the whole office (as a newbie you are expected to do about 5 tea runs a day), you will be publicly shamed in the middle of the office. No matter how involved you are in your work, you cannot forgot to make your manager a cup of tea. - You will be publicly shamed if you come back from a client meeting and not bring back 2 dozen doughnuts for the rest of the office. - There are favorites in the office who believe they are better than everyone else, and join in the bullying. - You cannot speak up, if you do, you will be publicly shamed! Micromanagement: - This is not a place where you are able to make your own decisions. The level of micromanagement is insane! Some examples: - External emails have to be sent to line managers for review before they are sent out. - The way you work has to be done the same way your manager does it, however illogical it is. - You are expected to walk around with a notepad and pen, even if you manager wants to ask you to do one thing, it has to be written down. Working Environment: - Disgusting!!! Piles of paper everywhere, dirty hiking clothes that stink are everywhere. Some people don't even wear shoes around the office (in a meeting once, someone was peeling dry skin off their feet). - Long working hours!!! mainly because you are forced to run everything through leadership. Leadership: - Not leaders and are racist. Only pushing white candidates for roles, even if there are ethnic candidates that are far more qualified.

Cons

Bully culture is thriving here, by no fault of the other employees as they are probably bullied & humiliated to be this way, the manager will verbally tear you down & bully you, and everyone acts as though it’s completely normal. Micro-management to a ridiculous and impractical level- everything done by any member of staff has to go by the manager, yet when you send to them to check they will tell you off for clogging up their emails. Will make you feel guilty for taking time off, for personal issues, illness, holiday. If you don’t offer to make the manager a coffee or tea at TIMETABLED times- no matter what you’re doing- you will get publicly shamed by them infront of everyone. Manager has clear favourites which demotivates the team. Expects you to work ridiculous hours etc 7.30am-8pm everyday, do work during the weekends etc, just because the manager does, and when you don’t, you guessed it, publicly told off and shamed.
