Pros

The people who work there are great, real sense of camaraderie. Your colleagues (in ops, flight ops and crewing at least) will stick by you in the difficult times and help you out. Excellent experience that you can take elsewhere after you've been there a while. The staff work hard to make it a good airline despite its problems, so that's a good morale-boost in a way.

Cons

LOTS of disruption to the flying schedule so the ops & crewing department is very busy and stressful. I don't think it would be anywhere near as bad in other departments e.g. HR, IT, revenue and accounts etc. Poor pay compared to other airlines, and you have a lot more responsibilities as the team is small (although that could be an advantage as you get experience in lots of areas). Not much formal training.

Colleagues great - Management awful

Pros

Worked with lovely genuine crew and at times had a good laugh. We looked out for each other. Basic wage good.

Cons

Management don’t listen if you air concerns. Talk to you like you are children. Sometimes worked to maximum legal hours. Think we are all dispensable.

Border line legal

Pros

Nice uniform Nothing else to say

Cons

Interview is a complete fantasy. Upsell the job and company but reality hits once training is complete. Company does everything on the cheap. Border line legal procedures. No running water on planes, offer passengers a service they don’t get, no crew rest room, no hand wash facilities, catering uplift twice a week, no agreements with service providers, send staff to every base they can, speak to staff very patronising, only get 1 day off at a time which you spend catching up on sleep, crewing tell you to manage your own roster… what is their actual job then? Accounts get payments wrong, no one answers emails or phone calls, uniform doesn’t arrive on time, only pay £10 for night stop allowance; what meal can you get for £10? Will happily break flight limitations if you don’t notice and report it
