Serves wonderful client base of severely physically disabled. Provides necessary services that are unique and urgent. Passionate field staff are the beating heart of the organization and are the only reason for its success over 25 years.
Cons
Terrible Executive Director in Michelle Blackwell. She lacked any care for the mission or the clients. Made destructive unilateral decisions with no explanation or accountability that did real harm to staff and clients. Organization has dysfunctional board of directors obsessed with their own drama that is irrelevant to the work on the ground. Fundamentally the organization lacks adequate support structures to manage employee errors and mediate internal staff conflicts. Every field staff member is underpaid, underappreciated and underresourced and the reason they stick with the work is because they genuinely care.
