Pros

Flexible hours when they follow your availability. "Guaranteed" hourly wage regardless of order volume

Cons

EatStreet took over from Zoomer in my area but aren't much better. I asked specifically about assumed cash tips in onboarding and was told they would not be doing that but are so you don't actually get $12/hour. Actual driver wage with these assumptions, regular driving, and tolls is closer to $8-9/hour. I've had to tell restaurants to no put 're-orders' back into the system as cash orders because of this taking away money I'm supposed to earn for an order that I'll 99% of the time receive no tip. They've allowed some restaurants to maintain large radiuses (7-8+ mile single direction trips) and have recently expanded the zones of many others. Because Dispatchers don't really know the area, drivers are often given "go tos" instead of orders and will drive full across the city for no order then get another back to where they came from just to waste their time and gas. EatStreet released a new employee handbook several months ago that should never have gone to drivers. It basically reiterated that drivers are seen as second class to the company and won't be given any of the benefits of other employees.

Pros

guaranteed base pay of 12/hour even if you don't get any orders all shift w-2 employee so taxes are less difficult than before

Cons

the apps required for the job only work on android phones and even then not every feature is functional the scheduling app isn't fully functional (can't call out, can't swap shifts) they will make you drive during inclement weather even when the roads are scheduled to close unless you call out beforehand on the basis of not feeling safe on the road it doesn't always seem like dispatch is from the area or knows the area

Pros

the company is growing at an incredibly fast rate and always looking for hires. fun relaxed environment with pretty cool people.

Cons

Lack of transparency within company. terrible mid management and as the title states, a huge club for suck ups. if you are an excellent employee, good luck moving up or being recognized if you don't brown nose your way up there.
